Job summary

Crescent Electric Supply Co. is seeking an Application Engineer to provide engineering and technical support, and to train customers on automation and control products within the assigned territory.

You will collaborate with account managers to achieve automation and control sales goals, launch new products, and deliver product trainings and demonstrations to customers, both in person and virtually. CRM usage is expected for opportunity tracking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or technical degree in engineering from four-year college or university, and/or 5+ years of experience.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel often in the assigned territory and occasionally travel to attend company, customer, and supplier activities.
• In-depth knowledge of Automation and Control products including VFDs, PLCs, Motion Control, SCADA Software, HMI, Networking, Sensors, Motion, Robotics, and Motor Control.

Responsibilities

• Co-develop and implement the strategic business plan to support market share growth for Automation and Control Suppliers.
• Develop and present Automation and Control solutions with training activities, product demonstrations, seminars, and trade show events.
• Launch new Automation and Control products to sales personnel and perform on-site customer demonstrations and training.
• Perform billable service work (e.g., VFD startups, servo tuning, HMI development) for assigned territory.
• Use CRM to enter opportunities and track activities.
