Job summary

SMC in Milwaukee seeks an Application Specialist to deliver technical guidance for industrial automation projects across the territory. The role includes training customers, supporting sales, and coordinating with engineering teams to tailor automation solutions.

The position requires travel within the region, ongoing learning of products, and strong CRM usage to track opportunities and results. A bachelor’s degree and relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced automation product knowledge and ability to apply new high-tech products.
• Extensive SMC application knowledge or equivalent industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and support to clients implementing automation solutions.
• Train sales, customers and distributors on products and applications.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to design and customize automation solutions.
• Document sales activity in CRM and manage opportunities.
