Job summary

SMC is seeking an Application Specialist to provide technical expertise and guidance to customers implementing industrial automation solutions across Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana. The role requires regular travel within the territory to support projects and drive customer success.

You will collaborate with sales, engineering and training teams to design, configure, and demonstrate automation solutions, deliver trainings, and capture opportunities in SalesConnect CRM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced industrial automation product and application experience with SMC or equivalent industry.
• Experience with competitive products and applications.
• Ability to apply and implement our newest high tech products.
• Extensive SMC Application knowledge or equivalent industry.
• Experience with packaging, electronics, food, chemical, automotive and medical industries.
• Pneumatic Specialist Certification preferred.
• Proficient in CRM and learning new tools.
• Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and support to clients implementing automation solutions.
• Deliver training sessions and workshops to clients' teams.
• Identify and close major revenue-producing projects.
• Collaborate with sales and engineering on technical presentations and demonstrations.
• Maintain accurate activity in SalesConnect CRM.
• Travel within the territory as required.
