Job summary

Automation & Factory Solutions (AFS), a SunSource company, is seeking an Outside Sales Account Manager to grow our southern Kentucky territory by strengthening existing relationships and developing new accounts. You will act as a trusted consultant, identifying the right automation products and solutions for customers’ operations.

You will collaborate with Inside Sales and Technical Specialists, deliver product demos, and drive long-term growth through proactive outreach and effective proposals.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related area preferred.
• 3+ years experience in B2B technical sales related to industrial automation or related electrical controls and products.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Knowledge of sales principles, tactics, and strategies.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to sell in a competitive environment.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, ZoomInfo, and other modern sales tools.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute a territory-based strategy to win new accounts.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects.
• Conduct onsite and virtual sales calls with technical demos and recommendations.
• Partner with Inside Sales to document activity and develop quotes.
• Develop understanding of core product lines and their application.
• Coordinate with Technical Specialists to assist customers in product usage.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge via workshops and publications.
• Follow up with leads and provide thorough reporting.
