Job summary

Magna Exteriors is seeking an Automation Engineer to own PLC/HMI control systems, develop and support automated paint systems, and coordinate modifications with vendors and engineers. The role demands hands-on problem solving, project execution, and strong drawing interpretation skills.

You will work to improve system performance, reliability, and safety across production lines, leveraging Fanuc robotics, PLCs (PLC5/SLC family), and AutoCAD in a dynamic automotive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Experience with Fanuc robots, PLCs, and automated paint systems is essential.
• Strong problem solving, reading drawings and project management skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Own, troubleshoot, modify, and optimize PLC/HMI control systems.
• Design, implement and support HMI hardware and software for automated systems.
• Coordinate modifications with vendors and facility engineers; perform system documentation.
