Job summary

Magna Exteriors seeks an engineering professional to own automation and controls for paint and finishing systems. You will troubleshoot PLC/HMI networks, maintain drawings, and implement upgrades across automated lines.

Requirements include 2+ years with Fanuc robots, PDT tooling, PLC5/SLC/Micro controls, and strong problem solving. A Bachelor’s in engineering is required, with CAD experience and cross-functional collaboration expected.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years of robot control experience with Fanuc robots.
• Experience with Paint Tool and PDT programming.
• Proficient with Allen-Bradley PLCs (PLC5, SLC, Micro).
• AutoCAD experience is necessary.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Able to read mechanical/electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot PLC/HMI control systems.
• Organize and maintain system documentation.
• Diagnose controls-related downtime and implement corrective actions.
• Design and implement software, electrical and mechanical automated system enhancements.
• Support maintenance staff with diagnosing software and electrical issues.
