Job summary

Applied Controls, a SunSource company, seeks an Automation Outside Sales Account Manager to grow business across the Pittsburgh, PA territory. You will partner with OEMs, manufacturers, and industrial customers to deliver automation solutions that improve productivity, efficiency, reliability, and safety.

This field-based role emphasizes building relationships, developing new business, and solving manufacturing challenges with technical specialists and leading automation manufacturers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred
• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent
• 3+ years outside sales experience in industrial automation or related field preferred
• Strong consultative selling, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities

• Grow sales and profitability by expanding existing accounts and developing new business opportunities
• Build strong customer relationships and serve as a trusted advisor by recommending automation products and services
• Achieve sales and gross profit objectives through consultative selling
• Travel throughout the territory to develop opportunities and strengthen customer relationships
