Applied Controls, a SunSource company, seeks an Automation Outside Sales Account Manager to grow business across the Pittsburgh, PA territory. In this consultative role, you will partner with OEMs and manufacturers to deliver automation solutions that improve productivity, efficiency, reliability, and safety.

This field-based position emphasizes relationship-building, collaboration with automation specialists and inside sales, and travel throughout the territory.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years outside sales experience in industrial automation or similar.
• Proven ability to grow accounts and manage a territory.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Experience evaluating applications and recommending solutions with technical teams.

In this consultative sales role, you will partner with OEMs, manufacturers, and industrial customers to deliver automation solutions that improve productivity, efficiency, reliability, and safety. This position is ideal for a sales professional who enjoys building relationships, developing new business, and solving manufacturing challenges alongside technical specialists and leading automation manufacturers.

Essential Functions

• Grow sales and profitability by expanding existing accounts and developing new business opportunities.
• Build strong customer relationships and serve as a trusted advisor by recommending industrial automation products, engineered solutions, and value-added services.
• Achieve sales and gross profit objectives throughconsultative selling.
• Conduct account reviews to identify expansion opportunities.
• Collaborate with Automation Product Specialists, Inside Sales, and supplier partners to develop solutions and close business.
• Promoteengineering services, systems integration, and customer training programs.
• Develop and executeterritory sales plans while monitoring market trends and competitive activity.Maintain customer activity, pipeline, and forecasting information within the CRM system.
• Participate insales, technical, and manufacturer training to strengthen product knowledge.
• Travel throughout the territory to develop opportunities and strengthen customer relationships.

Experience, Education and Skills

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of outside sales experience selling industrial automation, controls, motion control, electrical products, or other industrial solutions preferred.
• Demonstrated success growing industrial sales accounts and territories.
• Working knowledge ofindustrial automation products and manufacturing applications.
• Strongconsultative selling, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to evaluate applications and recommend solutions using internal technical resources.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
• Experience managing opportunities and forecasts within a CRM system.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.
• This is afield-based outside sales position with daily customer visits.
• Acar allowance is provided.
• Position requires visits to manufacturing facilities with exposure to typical industrial environments.
