Job summary

Symbotic is seeking an Automation Maintenance Technician I to repair, calibrate, and service its automated systems including Automated Adapters and robotic vehicles. You will become the system expert for electro-mechanical subsystems and interface hardware, performing inspections and maintenance in a dynamic customer environment.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to procedures, and strong documentation in CMMS. On-site work on a construction-like site with PPE and 5S practices is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in electronics, automotive, automation, manufacturing or related field preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience with mechanical automation systems or equivalent training.
• Strong electro-mechanical skills and safety focus.
• Ability to multi-task and follow procedures independently.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain Automated Storage and Retrieval System components.
• Calibrate, repair, and replace system components to maximize throughput.
• Troubleshoot PLC and electro-mechanical subsystems using schematics and test equipment.
• Document repairs and parts used in CMMS with accurate records.
• Support on-site operations with safe work practices and 5S housekeeping.
