Job summary

Symbotic seeks an Automation Maintenance Technician to repair and calibrate its automated systems, adapters, lifts and robotic vehicles. You will become the system expert across mechanical, PLC, electrical and electronic subsystems, ensuring peak uptime in a dynamic environment.

The role requires an associate degree or related certification, 3+ years in mechanical automation, and ability to troubleshoot from schematics. Safety is a critical focus and 5S discipline is expected.

Qualifications

Associate degree or certification in electronics, automation, manufacturing or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of experience with mechanical automation systems or training equivalent.
Strong ability to troubleshoot using electro-mechanical diagrams and schematics.

Responsibilities

Inspect systems associated with Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems and adapters/lifts.
Lead continuous operation by calibrating, repairing, or replacing components.
Monitor flow of the system through adapters to maximize throughput.
Troubleshoot robotic vehicle anomalies using diagrams and test equipment.
Document actions, repairs and parts in CMMS with clear traceability.
Communicate issues and time estimates for maintenance to the team.
