Job summary

El Paso Water seeks an Electronics Technician Lead to diagnose, repair, and program PLCs and HMIs within its SCADA-enabled water, wastewater, and stormwater systems. The role requires five years in electronics tech with supervisory experience, and a valid Texas driver’s license.

You will perform PLC/HMI programming, install and configure SCADA servers, troubleshoot system faults, and collaborate with engineers on automated processes, maintaining logs and reports daily.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 5 years in electronics technology diagnosing and repairing process control equipment.
• Five years’ experience with leadership or supervisory duties.

Responsibilities

• Program HMI/PLC using FactoryTalk View Studio and RS Logix/Studio 5000.
• Install and configure SCADA servers and PC workstations.
• Troubleshoot SCADA system and network malfunctions.
• Mentor technicians on advanced troubleshooting and safety.
• Supervise assigned staff: schedule, train, evaluate, and enforce rules.
