Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking a Lead Electrical Controls Engineer to design, program, and commission PLC/HMI systems for municipal water and wastewater projects across the Midwest.

You will develop PLC code, configure HMIs, and oversee field commissioning of instruments and motor controls. You will work with a range of platforms (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Modicon, GE) and collaborate closely with operators, technicians, and project teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with PLC/SCADA in municipal or industrial settings.
• Hands-on PLC/HMI project experience from concept to commissioning.
• Knowledge of electrical, automation, or controls engineering principles.

Responsabilités

• Develop PLC code for municipal water and wastewater SCADA systems.
• Design and configure HMI applications for operators and staff.
• Commission control systems and related instrumentation and motor controls.
• Set up communications networks (fiber, radio telemetry, broadband).
• Manage project documentation to company standards and requirements.
• Collaborate with customers during design, construction, and startup phases.
• Provide after-market support and troubleshooting for installed systems.
• Coordinate with internal teams (programmers, technicians, sales, engineers).
• Handle multiple projects and deadlines with high attention to detail.
• Stay current with new automation technologies and IT trends.
