Job summary

The City of Houston, Department of Public Works Emergency Management is seeking a skilled technician to install, maintain, and repair electrical and process equipment in Houston Water/Drinking Water Operations. You will troubleshoot PLCs, document daily activities, coordinate with vendors, and ensure quality and reliability of systems.

Requires an Associate's degree in electronics/instrumentation or related tech program and four years of design/installation/maintenance experience with

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (or equivalent) in electronics, instrumentation or computer science.
• Four years of experience with industrial control systems or computerized networks.
• Experience in maintenance and repair of PLC-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair electrical and process equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLC I/O, rack power, UPS, and related wiring.
• Coordinate with external vendors to ensure quality and scope of work.
• Maintain preventive maintenance records in INFOR Work Management System.
