Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is hiring for a technical process lead to advance automation and scalability in optical transceiver manufacturing. Based in a hybrid role out of Holmdel, NJ or Allentown, PA, you will own process and automation design for critical equipment, focusing on active alignment and fiber attach methods.

You will drive manufacturing process strategies, perform DFx and cost analyses, and enable smooth transfer from NPI to production with repeatable operations across volume programs.

Qualifications

Significant experience in process engineering for optics, opto-electronics, or semiconductor packaging with equipment design.
Experience with fiber attach and optical alignment systems, including automated optical assembly process development and qualification (DOE, SPC, PFMEA, capability studies).
BS/MS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Optics/Photonics, Physics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Drive the automation and scalability of optical transceiver manufacturing.
Own the design of processes and automation for critical manufacturing equipment.
Support the transfer of processes from NPI to production and ensure sustainable operations.
