Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Product Engineer in Optics Operations to join the team in hybrid roles across Maynard, MA, San Jose, CA or Holmdel, NJ.

You will support next generation optical transceiver product portfolio and drive yield optimization through collaboration with foundries and internal test teams. Responsibilities include analyzing yield data, improving test coverage, and establishing manufacturing metrics to meet cost and capacity targets.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with CMOS/Memory foundries or fabless design.
• Proven track record transitioning products from NPI to high-volume production.
• Experience with advanced CMOS nodes 7nm and beyond.
• Knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM).
• Analytical skills for yield prediction using JMP scripting, Python, or AI models.
• BOM and Change Management experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with foundry to drive yield improvement and process optimization.
• Work with DFT and test teams to optimize test flow and specs.
• Analyze ATE/WAT data, evaluate process corners and yield sensitivity.
• Improve test coverage to screen downstream failures.
• Correlate ATE test with bench and system-level tests.
• Own yield roadmaps, cost analyses, and continuous improvement.
• Engage with wafer equipment suppliers and foundries to address quality and performance issues.
• Establish manufacturing metrics to drive equipment and process improvements.
• Characterize NPI and sustaining yields to meet cost and capacity targets.
