Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in the United States (MA, Maynard) to drive New Product Introduction, DFx, automation, and cost optimization for Coherent pluggables and embedded modules.

You will lead tooling, fixtures, and automation development, support partners, and provide hands-on process development to ensure yield targets are met while maintaining quality through continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering degree with 5+ years of optical/electronics manufacturing experience.
• Hands-on experience with product transfers and quick ramping at CM’s.
• Experience applying SPC, FMEA, and DOE to drive cost reduction and quality.
• Expertise with assembly automation equipment for high-volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Design Engineering from concept stage through volume manufacturing, driving DFx.
• Develop and maintain assembly/inspection instructions for mechanical, soldering, fiber management, and packaging; train technicians.
