Job summary

Alsco Uniforms is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our automated laundry facility in North Dakota. The role involves preventative and specialized maintenance of plant equipment, with emphasis on automation and control systems to ensure safe, cost-effective operation.

You will collaborate with the General Manager and production teams, use PM software daily, and ensure wastewater and power plant equipment stay compliant. This is a safety-sensitive, on-site role with union-friendly benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in plumbing, electrical, steam, controls, PLC, welding, and mechanical systems preferred.
• 2+ years industrial maintenance experience.
• Familiarity with electric schematics, low voltage troubleshooting, and controls; boiler operation, hydraulics, pneumatics; safety compliance (LOTO, hot work, confined space); wastewater treatment.
• Boiler operator license and wastewater certification (where state-appropriate).
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with General Manager and production teams to support facility operations.
• Use a computerized Preventive Maintenance program daily to document repairs and maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment with emphasis on automation and control systems.
• Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and operational requirements; maintain records.
• Perform preventive maintenance to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
