Job summary

Alsco Uniforms is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative and specialized maintenance in an automated laundry facility. You will ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and cost-efficient operation while supporting wastewater systems and power plant equipment.

The role requires teamwork with management and operations, routine PM documentation, and strong skills in electrical, controls, and boiler-related maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent; additional training in the following area(s) preferred (plumbing, electrical, steam, controls, PLC, welding, and mechanical systems)
• Work Experience Requirements: 2+ years industrial maintenance.
• Specific Skills and Competencies: Electric schematics, low voltage troubleshooting, controls, steam/boiler operation, hydraulics, pneumatics, safety compliance (e.g. LOTO, hot work, confined space) wastewater treatment.
• Specialized Knowledge and Licenses: Boiler operator license (some states), wastewater certification (some states), computerized preventative maintenance systems.
• Have and maintain a valid driver's license and driving record free of chargeable accidents, speeding or other safety violations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the General Manager, Production Management team, and other key operational partners to support facility operations.
• Use a computerized Preventive Maintenance (PM) program daily to document repairs, complete maintenance activities, and respond promptly to equipment failures.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment with an emphasis on automation and control systems.
• Maintain compliance with operational, safety, and environmental requirements by completing safety training, recording and retaining required documentation, supporting wastewater compliance, and maintaining computerized maintenance records.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment and infrastructure to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
