Job summary

Honda Development & Manufacturing of America in Lincoln, AL is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Engineer to ensure reliability and uptime for high-volume automotive production equipment. You will perform data analysis, root cause troubleshooting, and continuous improvement on the factory floor.

The role involves hands-on investigation, reviewing shift reports, and leading machinery enhancement projects while managing budgets and collaborating with maintenance and production teams to boost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Engineering or Technology (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, etc.).
• 0-6 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with automated equipment, PLC troubleshooting, quality gauging, and instrumentation.
• Strong technical analytical skills and desire to work hands-on on the factory floor.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hands-on investigation and troubleshooting of automated production equipment and machining systems.
• Review daily shift reports, identify downtime gaps, and implement permanent countermeasures using PDCA.
• Lead machinery enhancement projects and evaluate new automation technologies to improve plant throughput.
• Manage investment and expense budgets to achieve department cost targets.
• Partner with maintenance technicians and production teams to promote equipment safety and reliability.
