Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) seeks a skilled Ctrl Systems Engineer / Automation Engineer to support automated material handling equipment and improve reliability and performance. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, risk reduction, and coordination with site teams across CBRE’s global network.

The ideal candidate has PLC programming, robotics and SCADA experience, with a background in design cycles and equipment automation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
Experience in at least two engineering design cycles including specification, component selection and programming.
2+ years of experience with PLC programs.
2+ years of experience with robotics system components and controls.
2+ years of experience with SCADA systems.

Responsibilities

Promote a safe working environment by complying with codes, regulations, and directives.
Troubleshoot and modify software for material handling control systems (PLC/PC).
Serve as first level escalation for on-site and remote troubleshooting, including after-hours.
Inspect systems to ensure operation meets design capabilities and client specs.
Oversee development scope, scheduling, and inspection of outside contractors.
