Job summary
Amazon is seeking an Automation Engineer to maximize reliability and performance of material handling equipment in our fulfillment centers. You will troubleshoot complex control systems, analyze metrics, and drive continuous improvement across conveyors, sortation, scanners, and SCADA devices.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams is key to delivering fast, accurate order fulfillment. Minimum qualifications include a BS in CS/EE/Automation or 2+ years in PLC programming, plus experience with
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in CS/EE/Automation or 2+ years in PLC programming or automation engineering.
- Flexible schedule including weekends/nights/holidays.
- Experience in PLC-based controls design, development, and support.
- Experience with Ladder Logic and programming Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Codesys PLCs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain automation systems critical for operations.
- Troubleshoot PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks.
- Monitor MHE metrics and coordinate with maintenance/operations.
- Provide first-level escalation support for site technicians.
- Perform building system assessments to enhance material handling performance.
