Job summary
C&W Services is seeking an Automation Engineer to support the site maintenance team and ensure optimal performance of Material Handling Equipment control systems. You will troubleshoot and maintain conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, and HMIs, while leading projects with operations and maintenance teams in a clean, climate-controlled facility.
The role requires 3+ years in programming HMIs/PLCs/VFDs, SCADA knowledge, and experience with Rockwell ControlLogix.
Qualifications
- 3+ years in programming/commissioning HMIs, PLCs, and VFDs
- Experience with SCADA and KPIs
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Experience with conveyors and sortation systems
- Knowledge of Rockwell's PLC platforms and software tooling
Responsibilities
- Promote safe working environment by following procedures
- Maintain and troubleshoot MHE control systems and electrical distribution
- Develop and modify software for material handling control systems
- Act as escalation point for equipment automation issues
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance on capital projects
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams on installations
- Communicate timelines and impacts to leadership
