Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Automation Engineer to maximize equipment reliability and operational performance in our fulfillment centers. You will troubleshoot complex control systems, analyze performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement across MHE systems such as conveyors and sortation.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and work with SCADA devices to ensure rapid, accurate order processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or equivalent, or 2+ years of PLC programming or automation engineering experience.
• Experience with PLC programming and automation systems in a production environment.
• Experience with ladder logic and control networks in automated facilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot automation systems critical for operations.
• Analyze and improve material handling control systems and electrical distribution.
• Monitor MHE metrics and work with maintenance/operations to address performance issues.
