Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking an Automation Engineer to join our controls team supporting a major e-commerce client. You’ll be part of a group maintaining material handling systems, conveyors, sorters, and SCADA networks, focusing on reliability and continuous improvement.

You bring 2–5 years of PLC/Robotics/SCADA experience, and are comfortable with Allen-Bradley PLCs, RSLogix 5000, and integration with industrial networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in PLC/robotics/SCADA environments.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and RSLogix 5000.
• Strong troubleshooting and electrical skills without close supervision.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and modify software for material handling control systems.
• Support on-site and remote troubleshooting, including after hours.
• Inspect systems and ensure equipment meets design specs.
• Coordinate with contractors for upgrades and maintenance.
• Communicate progress and timelines to site leadership.
