Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking an Automation Engineer to join the Global Workplace Solutions team. You will support operations and provide expert-level guidance on material handling equipment, PLC/Logix controls, and SCADA systems to maximize reliability and performance.

You will troubleshoot software, coordinate with site teams, and help implement improvements and preventive maintenance programs across conveyors, scanners, and sortation systems in a dynamic facilities environment.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by complying with codes and regulations related to system operations and work safety.
• Troubleshoot and modify software for material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers and RSLogix5000 software.
• Act as first level escalation in troubleshooting support on-site and remotely, repairing MHE controls software systems.
• Inspect systems to ensure operation within design specifications and client requirements.
• Coordinate development scope, work requests, scheduling, and inspection with outside contractors.
