Job summary
CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking an Automation Engineer to join CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS).
You will be part of a controls and maintenance team supporting automated material handling equipment, focusing on reliability and performance for a major client. Responsibilities include troubleshooting PLC/PC control systems (Allen Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix, RSLogix5000), monitoring industrial networks, and leading improvements from concept to implementation while coordinating with site
Qualifications
- Experience with PLC/PC control systems and automation hardware.
- Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLC platforms and RSLogix5000.
- Ability to troubleshoot automated material handling equipment.
Responsibilities
- Promote safe operations and ensure compliance with codes and directives.
- Troubleshoot and modify software for material handling control systems.
- Serve as first-level escalation for on-site and remote troubleshooting.
- Inspect systems to verify operation meets design specifications.
- Coordinate development, scheduling, and inspection of work by contractors.
- Engineer process solutions to improve reliability and performance.
- Monitor networked controls and electrical distribution systems.
- Communicate timelines and impacts to site leadership and teams.
- Identify failures and recommend improvements or retraining.
