Job summary

The Cigna Group is seeking an Automation Engineer Senior Analyst (Electrical Mechanical Technician) to maintain and improve critical pharmacy automation systems in a highly automated environment. You will diagnose, repair, and optimize PLC-controlled equipment, robotics, and controls, working with operations, engineering, and quality teams to ensure safety, quality and throughput.

Qualifications

Must have hands-on experience maintaining automated equipment in industrial environments.
Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled systems, sensors, motors and drives.
Familiar with CMMS platforms such as MAXIMO or similar.
Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

Maintain and improve reliability and performance of pharmacy automation systems.
Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, controls, and automation issues.
Execute preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on automated equipment.
Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems, robotics, electrical controls, and pneumatic equipment.
Analyze equipment data/history to identify root causes and corrective actions.
Perform routine inspections and identify reliability risks.
Use MAXIMO or CMMS to document work activity and maintenance findings.
Recommend upgrades and reliability initiatives to improve safety and throughput.
Interpret alarms and diagnostics to prevent recurring failures.
Collaborate across teams to support production readiness and continuous improvement.
Participate in on-call support as needed.
