Job summary
Amazon is seeking an Automation Engineer Intern to join our Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME) team at a fulfillment center. This ten-week, 40-hour-per-week internship during the summer of 2027 offers hands-on experience with control systems, MHE, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
- Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with completion expected between December 2027 and August 2028.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks.
- Monitor MHE metrics and collaborate with maintenance/operations to address performance issues.
- Drive standard work and continuous improvement through an intern project.
- Stand/walk up to 12 hours, with lifting up to 49 pounds.
- Work shifts that may include nights, weekends, and/or holidays; most sites follow a 4-day work week.
