Job summary

Amazon in the United States is seeking an Automation Engineer Intern for a 10-week summer program in our fulfillment network. You will learn to maintain and troubleshoot material handling control systems, support SCADA and industrial networks, and partner with maintenance and operations to drive performance improvements.

This hands-on internship offers exposure to state-of-the-art automation technology and real-world impact on customer delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program for automation engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or another related field.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot material handling control systems including PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks.
• Monitor MHE metrics and partner with maintenance/operations to address performance issues.
• Drive standard work and continuous improvement through an intern project.
• Be able to stand/walk up to 12 hours, climb stairs, and lift up to 49 pounds.
