Job summary

Intuit Inc. is seeking an Automation Engineer Level 2 in New Hampshire to advance automation projects and support design, programming, and testing of small-scale automation systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in automation, mechanical, electrical, or computer science or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in manufacturing or other technical field working on automated systems.
• Practical experience with troubleshooting electrical, controls and programs of industrial automation/robotic equipment.
• Experience programming Allen Bradley Studio, Robots, PID control/ tuning and servo systems; knowledge of machine vision, Beckhoff, Mitsubishi PLC, VB and C++ a plus.
• Ability to read and generate electrical schematics, panel layouts, safety systems and P&IDs using AutoCAD, BricsCAD or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to work well on a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior controls engineers in conceptual design and project scoping; translate customer requirements into design specs and control strategies.
• Perform controls system design, programming, simulation, and testing of simple automation equipment; assist with larger projects.
• Design electrical systems, generate schematics, specify hardware and create BOMs; assist senior engineer on complex systems.
• Participate in design reviews to identify errors and high-risk items.
• Integrate new control systems and modify existing ones including PLCs, HMIs, robotics, safety devices, and vision systems.
• Execute system start-ups and operational checkouts including configuration, calibration and testing.
• Troubleshoot control system issues; provide technical support during installation and maintenance.
• Maintain thorough documentation of designs and operating instructions.
• Observe sales calls for new project scoping; help meet cost targets and milestones.
• Follow industry regulations and standards; provide ongoing technical support.
