Job summary

Prime Controls, L.P. in Dallas, Texas is seeking an Automation Specialist II to design control system details, configure instrumentation, prepare for implementation, test and document solutions, and train operations staff.

You will collaborate with project managers, develop PLC programs in Ladder and Function Block languages, create HMI interfaces, build BOMs and IO lists, mentor junior engineers, and ensure projects follow approved processes.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in architectural, engineering or construction (AEC) industry or similar field.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with PLC programming and automation software.

Responsibilities

• Designs control system details and instrumentation configuration for implementation and testing.
• Develops PLC programs in Ladder, Function Block, and other languages.
• Develops human machine interface (HMI) and related software.
• Creates BOMs, IO lists, and requirements for control panels.
• Mentors less experienced engineers and provides training materials.
• Tests installed systems to ensure functionality and reliability.
