Job summary

Cloud and Things seeks an Automation Engineer in Albany, NY to support NYS client projects and IES modernization efforts. You will analyze current-state systems, extract business rules, and document requirements to support design and delivery.

The role involves collaborating with agency stakeholders and blended State/vendor teams to produce artifacts, ensure alignment with business needs, and drive successful modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

Level I - 3+ years of experience as an Automation Engineer.
3+ years of business analysis experience in state government within human services (IES, EECM).
Experience in an Integrated Eligibility System modernization program.

Responsibilities

Analyze existing State systems and document requirements to support IES modernization.
Identify legacy rules to carry forward and those to retire within scope.
Document as-is and to-be IES requirements and designs (diagrams, use cases, data dictionaries, UI specs).
Meet with agency stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and validate requirements.
Produce artifacts to support system planning, design, and delivery and align with business needs.
Conduct peer reviews and adhere to project timelines.
Work with blended State and vendor teams.
Perform other duties as assigned.
