Job summary

Jobgether SRL is partnering to hire an Automation Engineer – Level I in the United States for a long-term engagement on a major modernization program. The role focuses on analyzing legacy state systems, translating complex business rules into requirements for the Integrated Eligibility System (IES), and documenting both current-state and future-state behavior.

You will extract rules, collaborate with agency stakeholders, and develop comprehensive business analysis deliverables.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years as Automation Engineer.
• 3–7 years state-government business analysis in human services.
• Experience eliciting, analyzing, and managing requirements across the full SDLC.
• Ability to produce flows, user stories, data dictionaries, wireframes, and specifications.
• 3–7 years in Integrated Eligibility System modernization programs.
• Experience performing business analysis and workflow automation for eligibility systems.
• Experience supporting project planning, roadmaps, test scenarios, and change requests.
• Familiarity with documenting legacy interfaces for state-supervised and locally administered applications.
• Experience drafting Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and evaluating legacy mainframe interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Analyze legacy state systems and document requirements for IES modernization.
• Extract and validate business rules for modernization projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to decide retention/modification/retirement of rules.
• Document current and future-state processes and system behavior.
• Develop deliverables: process flows, use cases, data dictionaries, wireframes, and UI specs.
• Elicit requirements from agency staff, SMEs, end users, and executives.
• Conduct peer reviews and contribute to QA activities.
• Ensure deliverables align with scope and timelines.
• Work with state employees and vendor teams throughout the program.
