Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking an automation engineer on the Engineering Systems team to automate the build, test, signing, and deployment of our software across Windows, Linux, and Mac. You will help evolve our pipelines and tooling for scalability and reliability.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in software engineering or DevOps, strong Python, Groovy/Jenkins, and hands-on CI/CD, containerization with Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud familiarity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering or DevOps/build engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
• Deep knowledge of encryption/PKI concepts related to code signing.
• Experience writing Groovy for Jenkins pipeline development (Jenkinsfiles, shared libraries).
• Proven capabilities operating, administering, and troubleshooting CI/CD platforms (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab).
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with configuration tools such as Ansible, Chef, and Salt.
• Experience automating virtualization environments (e.g. VMWare).
• Familiarity with public cloud APIs (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with build/release engineering and SDLCs.
• Ability to collaborate with development teams and cross-functional全球 teams across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Manage code signing for binaries, packages, and artifacts across multiple platforms (Windows, Linux, Mac).
• Manage certificate lifecycles, including issuance, renewal, revocation, and storage.
• Design, implement, and maintain encryption, certificate, and code signing frameworks and tooling.
• Identify opportunities to improve operation of existing systems.
• Drive end-to-end improvements from design to delivered product for internal customers.
• Produce clear and maintainable code with minimal oversight.
• Provide documentation for users of the tools created.
• Perform code reviews and on-call build engineer duties.
• Troubleshoot build, packaging, and deployment failures across environments.
• Collaborate with global teams to support build/release processes.
