Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking an Automation Engineer to join the Engineering Systems team in the USA. You will manage code signing across platforms, certificates, and build pipelines while designing encryption frameworks and tooling to scale our CI/CD.

The role emphasizes automation, on-call readiness, and collaboration with global teams to improve deployment pipelines and reliability. Required experience includes Python scripting, Groovy/Jenkins, Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud APIs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering or DevOps/build engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
• Deep knowledge of encryption/PKI concepts as they relate to code signing.
• Experience writing Groovy for Jenkins pipeline development (Jenkinsfiles, shared libraries).
• Proven capabilities operating, administering, and troubleshooting CI/CD platforms (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab).
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with public cloud APIs (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Ability to work collaboratively with development teams across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Manage code signing for binaries across Windows, Linux, and Mac (Azure Artifact Signing, Mac/IOS Code Signing, Android, Linux).
• Manage certificate lifecycles: issuance, renewal, revocation, storage.
• Design, implement, and maintain encryption and code signing frameworks and tooling.
• Identify opportunities to improve operation of existing systems.
• Deliver end-to-end improvements from design to deployed product for internal customers.
• Produce maintainable code with minimal oversight and provide user documentation.
