Job summary

BorgWarner Arden campus is seeking an Automation, and Controls Technician to support thermal assembly lines and other production areas. You will bridge engineering and production, implementing safety, quality, and process improvements across automation systems.

Responsibilities include PLC and HMI/SCADA development, commissioning, and troubleshooting, plus collaborating with vendors and contractors on equipment installation and upgrades.

Qualifications

• Associate engineering degree from an accredited technical program is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between engineering and production to implement safety, quality, and process improvements.
• Coordinate with manufacturing managers, engineers, vendors, and customers for effective communication.
• Facilitate complex department projects including planning, scheduling, training, implementation, and documentation of solutions.
• Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues on assembly lines and automation equipment.
• Assist in design, development, and programming of PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems under engineering guidance.
• Support commissioning, debugging, and troubleshooting of automation equipment and control systems.
• Work with sensors, actuators, motors, and vision systems for process automation.
• Assist with installation and upgrades of production equipment with suppliers/contractors.
• Maintain electrical schematics, control panels, and wiring diagrams using CAD.
