Job summary

BorgWarner Arden campus seeks an experienced 1st Shift Automation and Controls Technician to support thermal assembly lines, improve quality, and drive automation enhancements. The role bridges engineering and production, implementing safety, quality, and process improvements across lines.

The candidate should have an associate degree and several years on the factory floor with PLCs, HMIs, and vision systems, plus strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• Associate engineering degree from a technical program is required.
• Experience with electronics, controls or engineering is a plus.
• 3+ years on a manufacturing floor handling technical issues and material flow.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between engineering and production to implement safety, quality and process improvements.
• Coordinate with managers, engineers, vendors, and customers for satisfaction and communication.
• Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues on lines and automation equipment.
• Design, develop and program PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA under engineering guidance.
• Support commissioning, debugging and troubleshooting of automation systems.
