Job summary

BorgWarner Arden campus seeks a Manufacturing, Automation, and Controls Technician to support thermal assembly lines and automation projects in Arden, NC. The role links engineering and production to improve safety, quality, and process efficiency.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, PLC/HMI/SCADA development, device wiring, and equipment upgrades, with strong emphasis on documentation and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on, growth-oriented position.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering or technical program is required.
• Across manufacturing, familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA is expected.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics with CAD tools.
• Experience with vision systems, robotics, and mechatronics preferred.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and willingness to learn automation.

Responsibilities

• Bridge engineering and production to implement safety, quality, and process improvements.
• Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues on lines and automation equipment.
• Design, develop, and program PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA under guidance.
• Support commissioning, debugging, and installation of automation systems.
• Maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and CAD drawings.
