Job summary

McWane, Inc. seeks an experienced Electrical/Controls Technician to support plant maintenance. The role focuses on PLC programming, control system troubleshooting, and on-site electrical work across industrial equipment.

You will read schematics, implement improvements, and ensure adherence to safety and NFPA 70E standards. On-site, full-time position with responsibilities including installation of PLCs, system tuning, documentation, and collaboration with engineers to upgrade control hardware.

Qualifications

• Must be experienced in PLC logic and programming with Allen Bradley or Siemens.
• AA in Electrical Engineering Technology or Mechatronics Technology preferred plus related experience in industrial manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment using PLC programs to support plant electricians.
• Install Programmable Logic Controllers on new and existing equipment.
• Read electrical schematics and maintain control documentation.
• Maintain and update PM strategies for control systems.
• Coordinate with engineering on machine control modifications and retrofits.
