SpaceX in Washington state is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer for Starlink Optical Payloads to help automate high‑volume production lines. You will design, implement, and test automation and control systems, integrate vision for guidance and quality, and build user interfaces that keep complex machines easy to troubleshoot.

The role requires a degree in STEM and hands‑on experience with PLCs, robotics, and electrical panels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or related field.
• 1+ years designing and commissioning automation in manufacturing.
• Strong PLC, robotics, and electrical panel experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, qualify and implement automation projects from ideation to production.
• Architect, write, and debug PLC code.
• Implement vision systems for robotics guidance and quality data collection.
• Create user interfaces for complex machines and troubleshoot.
