Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer (Starlink) in Redmond to design and implement automation projects across robotic and manufacturing systems. The role involves PLC coding, vision system integration, and data-driven process improvements within a fast-paced space technology environment.

You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, efficient production of Starlink hardware, applying advanced control strategies and hands-on electrical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
• 1+ years in automation/control design and commissioning in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, qualify and implement projects spanning machine design, robotics and manufacturing processes.
• Architect, write, and debug PLC code.
• Implement vision systems for robotic guidance, quality control and data collection.
• Design systems to track factory performance and improve efficiency.
