Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer for Assembly Manufacturing (Starlink). You will lead multi-disciplinary projects spanning machine design, robotics, motion systems, and factory health monitoring to create high-rate factories delivering Starlink broadband globally.

The role focuses on designing, developing, and managing automation initiatives, writing structured PLC code, and ensuring safety standards compliance while driving project schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or computer science.
• 1+ years in industrial or factory automation design and implementation.
• Experience with electro-mechanical or robotic systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage automation projects from ideation to hand-off to operations.
• Architect, write, and debug PLC code for high-volume manufacturing applications.
• Ensure factory safety and reliability per ANSI/RIA15.06/OSHA, NEC, NFPA, UL508A.
