Job summary

Design Group, part of Barry-Wehmiller, seeks an experienced controls engineer to develop automation solutions for manufacturing projects in the United States. You will design, configure, test, and commission integrated control systems, working with PLC/SCADA platforms and field instrumentation.

The role involves collaborating with clients, vendors, and project teams, managing deliverables, and supporting site start-up activities to ensure successful turnover to customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct controls engineering experience in industrial manufacturing environments.
• Experience creating automation control systems including PLC and SCADA.
• Familiarity with industrial control panels, instrumentation, and engineering docs (P&IDs, process diagrams).

Responsibilities

• Develop automation solutions for capital projects and manufacturing ops.
• Design control systems and create project documentation and drawings.
• Program PLCs and HMI/SCADA systems including listed platforms.
