Job summary

PMD Automation is seeking an Automation Controls Software Engineer II to provide controls programming, debugging, and site-installation for turnkey automation equipment. The role involves developing control and HMI programs, driving commissioning, and supporting Factory and Site Acceptance Tests.

BS in EE or related field and 5–10 years’ experience across PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and vision systems are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in EE, EET, Mechatronics or related field; demonstrated equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Review customer requirements, PMD proposal and cost estimate.
• Program control & HMI logic using standard or customer-provided code.
• Enter I/O into controllers and sequence logic per timing charts.
• Commission hardware and debug control software for sequences, modes, and fault handling.
• Support Factory and Site Acceptance Tests at customer facilities.
