Job summary

Prime Controls, L.P. is seeking an Automation Specialist I to assist with system integration projects, including selecting parts, programming PLCs and HMIs, testing software, and troubleshooting during start-up. You will develop documentation and user guides as part of the development process.

Ideal candidates have a 2-year track record in AEC or related fields and a B.S. in Mechatronics/Engineering. The role offers full-time hours and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in architectural, engineering or construction (AEC) industry or similar field.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Read diagrams and interpret documentation, communicating objectives to customers.
• Develop BOMs, IO lists and requirements for control panels.
• Develop PLC programs in Ladder, Function Block, and other languages.
• Develop HMI interfaces and testing plans for PLC/HMI systems.
• Test installed systems to verify functionality and correct operation.
