Job summary

Prime Controls, L.P. is seeking an Automation Specialist I to assist with system integration projects by identifying parts for PLC, network, computer, and software components; programming PLCs and HMIs; testing, troubleshooting, and documenting processes.

The role involves reading diagrams, developing BOMs and IO lists, and training customers on client-specific system integration software. Requires 2 years in AEC or related field and a BS in a related engineering discipline; 4 years preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Meets minimum experience in architectural, engineering or construction (AEC) industry.

Responsibilities

• Reads diagrams and docs; communicates objectives with customers.
• Develops BOMs, IO lists, and control panel requirements.
• Develops PLC programs in Ladder, Function Block, and other languages.
• Develops the HMI for operator interfaces.
• Creates test plans and simulation logic for PLC/HMI testing.
• Tests the installed system to verify functionality and performance.
