Job summary
Stellar Energy is seeking an Automation and Controls Engineer to design and implement control systems for TIAC plants, CHP, and district cooling projects. This role involves spec reviews, component selection, PLC configuration, and coordinating with engineering, fabrication, and field teams to ensure successful commissioning.
Requirements include a BS in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field and 4+ years in HVAC/controls, plus experience with Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs,
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Electronics or related field.
- 4+ years in HVAC/refrigeration/chiller controls industry.
- Experience with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens), networking, NEC, and 3-phase power.
Responsibilities
- Manage controls designer workload and coordinate with project teams.
- Define applications and prepare functional specification documents with clients.
- Select control components and generate Bills of Materials for procurement.
- Configure PLC programs for real-time control and data collection.
- Develop application programs for equipment control and HMI interfaces.
- Configure network interfaces for I/O, VSDs, chillers, MCCs.
- Support testing, commissioning, and field site activities.
- Provide technical support to sales/marketing for bids and proposals.
