Position Summary
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the electrical design of modular TIAC Plant, CHP, Mission Critical, and District Cooling Plant up to full production. This includes specification reviews, electrical calculation, and equipment selection to meet process, code, and client requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Serve as the technical lead for electrical items associated with bottoming cycle of combined cycle power projects.
- Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the assigned equipment.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to define project goals, scope, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with Customers, Engineering, and Construction contractors to provide timely resolutions of engineering issues.
- Responsible for creating and updating Technical Specifications for electrical equipment.
- Work with Supply Chain to obtain proposals and evaluate them.
- Manage Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) from Project start to completion.
- Collaborate with external engineering companies in designing systems around the main equipment.
- Create and manage Master Document List for the equipment.
- Manage technical specifications, procedures, and design data.
- Support Site and Construction Management Company during Construction and Commissioning phase.
- Support Customer Training.
- Work with OEM to develop shop test procedures and support testing.
- Assist with warranty requests and participate in ISO 9001 audits.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant disciplines from an accredited University.
- 4+ years of electrical design-related experience, 2+ years of experience with large-scale industrial plant projects.
- Familiar with design drawings, Medium/low voltage systems, and equipment layout.
- Familiar with local and international codes, standards, and regulations.
- Familiar with engineering deliverables and cooperation with other disciplines.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited University.
- Professional Engineer Registration.
- Knowledge of CAD software and SKM software.
