Job summary

Stellar Energy is looking for an Automation & Controls Designer to create technical drawings for modular TIAC plants, CHP, and district cooling projects. You will collaborate with controls engineers to compile data, dimensions and owner specifications for distribution systems, ensuring accurate design deliverables.

Qualifications

• This position requires a minimum of a two-year associate degree in drafting or related technical discipline.
• Experience in AutoCAD software is required.
• Four years’ experience with electrical and controls design and drafting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with controls engineers to receive instructions and direction for the project design.
• Coordinates with other designers to integrate designs and avoid interferences.
• Compiles standard project drawings including schematics, I/O diagrams, loop sheets and 3D models.
• Reviews system requirements, assists with design calculations, and generates bills of materials.
• Ensures deliverables meet company standards and project timelines.
• Provides technical support to sales and bidding with schematics and layouts.
• Prepares drawing packages for procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning.
• Interfaces with production, drafting teams and other disciplines.
• Participates in project teams and maintains coordination throughout production.
