Job summary

Sinclair Community College is seeking a part-time (adjunct) instructor for Automation & Control Technology at Stebbins High School in Dayton, OH. The position is face-to-face on Tuesdays/Thursdays from 12:35–2:10 PM, with an immediate start date and pay of $1,046 per credit hour assigned to teach.

Applicants must reside in Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky or be able to work within one of these states. The role includes a benefits-eligible, regular part-time employment with SCC policies applying.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of an associate’s degree in a related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Evidence of successful prior teaching experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to improving student learning through innovative strategies shown to help students succeed at the course and program level.
  • Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills with the capacity to work successfully in a culturally diverse college community.
  • Demonstrated skills in using modern educational technology, including multimedia-based instruction.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize instruction in ways which maximize student learning.
  • Prepare, distribute and submit syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with department and divisional policies.
  • Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies, use available instructional technology when appropriate.
  • Modify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student’s needs.
  • Support classroom and online efforts to promote student success.
  • Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress.
  • Submit final grade rosters according to established deadlines.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information.
  • Cannot exceed maximum of 12 credit hours per semester.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Sinclair Automation & Control Technology with Robotics department is seeking a skilled and motivated individual withhands-on experience in electromechanical systems to support ourinstructional and lab environments.

Sinclair is currently seeking part-time (adjunct) faculty toteach face-to-face, Tuesdays/Thursdays (12:35 – 2:10 PM) atStebbins High School with an immediate start date. The starting payfor Adjunct Faculty is $1,046 per credit hour assigned toteach.

This position is open only to applicants who residein Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky, or who are able to perform workwithin one of these states. Sinclair Community College restrictspart-time employment to approved states due to employment, tax, andbenefits compliance requirements.
